Newbie razor purchase: Kropp, Beau Brummell, & Challenge Cutlery Co.

I'm no newbie to wet-shaving, currently using a DE razor, but i decided to step into the world of straights. i just purchased the 3 in the title so i could experience different steels, sizes, etc. So I basically looking for some constructive criticism on the blades, background history, and some tips. Number one. Get them professionally honed after you get them cleaned up.
You did well and the blades are worth the effort. The last photo appears to have a frown and will be a little thinner when you get it back
The Horn scales in the second photo are unusual in my experience. They were cut at an angle to the horn.

I would follow Geezer's advice on sending those out for professional honing.

For a little history regarding the historical figure Beau Brummell check out Beau Brummell: This Charming Man on Youtube. He was quite the character, apparently. I am pretty sure he was never in the razor manufacturing business, though. I am guessing they named the razors after Brummell due to his strong association with grooming/fashion.

Sorry this does not help with the history of your razor but I thought it would be amusing to know where the name came from.
