I am wondering as I see my own face begin to get baggy, how do people in their 60's / 70's and beyond manage to straight shave with really baggy skin? Is it still possible or do you move to safety razors? Is it even easier because you can get a good grip on flabby skin and stretch your skin easier?
Do tell! I have no idea at all what answers will be, but think its interesting to hear how users adapted to the change.
As possibly one of the oldest SRP members and old enough to have skin thinking of sagging and drooping my answer would be to stretch, stretch, stretch. And in smaller sections rather than one or two areas stretches. A weird image comes to mind of a scene from the movie 'Brazil' where a woman is at her plastic surgeon and he has her face stretched out to the size of a large serving platter.
ROFLMAO, you are looking at on saggy faced 60 year old who uses a straight every day. Just takes a bit longer these days with all those yards of extra skin to contend with. :rofl2:

Stretching is vital, at any age, to a good close straight shave.
I'll never forget something my Mum said to me when one of her older women friends got another face-lift. My Mum said to me, "Geez, if she has another face lift she'll have a beard!!"

I'd almost agree with you BobH. My chronological age puts me at the head of the class, but my mental age still has me ruminating in my teen years (except for the sex part, too late for that rejuvenation).:DQuote:

Well, you don't have to be (quite) 100 years old to have started to sag a bit here and there. Actually, a bit of "play" in the skin makes it easier to move a patch of whiskers to a place where it can be more easily attacked. So you see, we have an advantage over the youngsters.. yeah, that's it.. it's a good thing.

Almost 66,not a wrinkle on my face,no saggy skin.Lucky in that aspect I guess.
BUT both my hands are so arthritic,stropping kills me,Been selling off my big blades for that reason.
Just got diagnosed with a pre-parkinsons condition,am right handed,left hand is fine,my brain is no longer conected to my rgt hand tho:(
