Any tips out of the norm on the best way to create good lather with this cream??
Keep your concentration high and your angles low!

Despite the high cost of living, it's still very popular.

I'm sure it will depend on your water, so what works here might not in TO, but I find it really, really easy to lather. I put a snurdle of cream in my scuttle, and just start whipping up the lather. I usually find I have to add a bit of water a few times by wetting the tips of the brush. But apart from that, it's just a matter of patience and it should lather up nicely.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Castle Forbes Lavender is a great way to start the day. Soak your brush, shake it off, gently place it in the cream, lift out a dime-size amount of cream, lather in a bowl with an amount of water equal to the cream, and let the party begin! One of life's pleasures. The Castle Forbes Lime is equally great.
