Well.. Just finished my first ATG shave... Did 3 passes. 1st WTG 2nd XTG.. and 3rd ATG... (Not all places.. Couldn't figure it out for the upper..I just repeated with another XTG...
Not BBS but I must say ... I think this is my first DFS ! !!

As for the ATG on your upper lip, I wouldn't stress over that... I tried it ONCE and found out why some folks refer to it as "The Fool's Pass". Instead, one of our Mods (Ryan, I believe) suggested exactly what you did yourself (a 2nd XTG pass) and his advice was spot on.
I remember my first DFS. Everything just seemed to click and I really didn't think it was that good until I started to rinse my face, felt really really slick and smooth. Congratulations!!! It only gets better from here. Don't rush it.

Thanks all.. 18 hours and just barely getting a 5 O'clock shadow... Awesome...I for sure, wont be going ATG everynight as it's alot closer than what I need on a daily basis, but for sure weekly...

what does DFS mean??
DFS... Damn Fine Shave.... There is an acronym guide in the FAQ area... Comes in really helpful.. Some make sense... Some are brand abbreviations that are specifically shaving related...
I just read a tutorial on the scything pass... Interesting...
Haven't tried that myself yet, every time I think I'll give it a go, I think, "why?" What I'm doing now works fine...and of course, sometimes if you tempt fate, it can both reward you and slice your face open??? So....:shrug:Quote:
