A wise member here said to me.
"Its not not if but when it going to get cell rot."
I know he has always told me the truth and only has my best outcome as his goal.

I Miss that razor it was a great shaver. It would have broke my heart to watch it die in front of my eyes. Without the blade and scales its just not the same.
I hope the new owner gets the same joy that I did.
It went back in the mail.
If its possible to love a razor that was one. I feel your pain
Your only as good as your last hone job.

    Very nice OTTO mate,
the one I had coming had a pivot scale brake so was going to get a new Ebony suit and inlays transferred, as the blade had zero hone wear and no signs of the ever common cell rot.
I've seen them go for $100 plus with rot this was half that with all the steel
    Saved,
    to shave another day.

New lather bowl (my other one I really like, but it makes weird noises now when I dry it, like there is a small crack somewhere I can't see that moves with pressure), slant HD razor (smiling razors work very well on my coarse, wiry facial hair and sensitive skin, so I figured I should try a slant DE as well), bunch of soaps, a soap sample (because the description of the smells drives me nuts and doesn't really help!) from Maggards. Less than 25 minutes from order placed to shipped!

I went on a little bit of a splurge:

    From Classic Edge:

    - Thiers-Issard 5/8" Le Dandy (Ebony)
    - The Professional Strop (CE-1204)

    From Straight Razor Designs:

    - 2 Straight Razor Stands (Model: 670)
    - Heinrich L. Thater Series 4125/2 Black 26mm Finest Badger Silver Tip

Now it's time to live on water and stale bread for the next few weeks .

    I believe that Ed says something like this;

"Bread and Water Can Easily Be Turned Into Tea and Toast"

    Enjoy the ride
