My first straight, the Sight Unseen deal, with cosmetic flaws, and the Poorman Stropkit with extra strop. Psyched!

The Friodur 17 1/2 arrived yesterday and it is a beast! I have two Friodur 7/8 razors (Spanish and square points) ground from the recently discovered blanks and scaled with wood and G10, but this 17 1/2 with original Friodur scales from Japan (originally sold 1970, cancelled stamp on red plastic coffin box, 17 1/2 stamped on monkey tail) is much thicker in the shank and much heavier. However, it feels well balanced in the hand when held with a shaving grip.

I refreshed the edge on my 8K Norton, TM 3, 1, 0.5 u diamond pasted paddle strop, and stropped 60 linen, 60 latigo on my unpasted 2 1/2 inch TM hanging strop. It is catching chest hair OK and I will have to see what I can do with it when I shave tonight.

A Raven barber hone that looks to be in great shape with the original box. I've wanted one of these for a while now. Not shipped yet, but pics when it arrives.

OK. I'll borrow a couple of the seller's pics.

I think I'm done for now.........

Not so good. I just bought a Thater brush from the classifieds , but it is a replacement for the Simpson that my dog took a liking to. I guess it's a good thing she didn't try to eat the razor that was on the stand with it... but now I'm out my 2nd favorite brush.

Since it seems some people in my house can not stay out of my room or close the doors behind them I will have to place everything I value atop my dresser to keep it out of dog range. 8(
