I've got something nice in the mail: a Le Grelot Royal Canada 6/8. I'll put up a picture when it gets here.

Bet you would never guess what i got. Imperials. Ha. One was a gift from a fine member of this great forum and he thru in a piece of bone for wedges too. The Eagle was the gifted blade. The other two are for the collection. A round point (havent seen many of them) and a Oreintal razor. Didnt have that one.

There was a thread on here a while ago with this razor and a link to AliBabaExpress to buy it, so I finally ordered it last month and it arrived today. Decent quality considering the manufacture. It comes with Cloud Blades and a blade IN THE RAZOR so take care when you unpack it. Also comes with a black fabric pouch. I'll see how it shaves sometime this coming week and post the results I get. Cloud blades are not too bad IMO, as they are middle of the road. Not too sharp but forgiving IMO. For the rock bottom price on AliExpress, I had to try it.

Finally got around to shaving with the new "Straight Razor-Esque Shavette" from China.

I have to admit, I liked shaving with this razor. It feels fairly close to handling a straight blade. Not as forgiving, but better than any other shavette I have ever wielded. No cuts, just a tiny weeper. That's a first for a shavette for me.

Here's the Le Greot. It had 3 or 4 gaps in the edge that were easy to remove with the 600 EzyLap diamond plate. Honing on the Shapton GS 1,2,4 and 8k stones, followed by a finish on the Shapton pro 12k, gave an excellent edge that shaved very well this morning. it seems very similar in look and shaving feel to a Gotta 120 I also have.

A hand turned Cherry Lather bowl is headed across the Atlantic for me now. Looking forward to a bowl made by a shaver for a shaver. Dough did great on all aspects of the transaction and sale FYI.

New 3” Horween oil tanned and natural linen strop with stainless handle coming from Norway by Scruple Works. Can’t wait to try it out.

Also getting one of his practice strops for the RV.
