I took a chance out of boredom on this smaller scale Sheffield, a Southern Richardson. It came the other day and I spent some time honing it. It was supposed to be shave ready but the heel was definitely not shave ready. Anyway, it is now and I have to say that it was a great little shaver. It took one of those exceptional edges where it wickedly sharp and so smooth. It’s like a mini version of my W&B FBU.

Electroplating. Think there is some stuff buried in the butchered blade thread where I dabbled with gold plating. Have also experimented with chrome and black chrome to some degree on pens.
Now I have some chromed items I want to return to their native brass with no buffing or sanding ideally.
Two part process, never tried it before but am looking forward to the experiment. .

I was on amazon ordering a case with a built in battery for my iphone since I’m traveling some in Sept and will be using it more than typical. Thing doesn’t hold much charge since the last update, so the case is a good work around.
Anyway, while there I remembered some folks using one of these for shave bowls so I thought what the hell.

Couldn’t beat the price, or the size. Came in larger diameters but I like a smaller lather bowl

    Cheers.

Amazon has a funny business model. They absolutely do not want to do business with anyone even remotely off the beaten track. As soon as you get very far away the shipping is ridiculous times two. What is even wackier is if I cannot find an item anywhere else, I will order it through Amazon.com because the shipping and exchange combined is still much cheaper than ordering from Amazon.ca
    The bowl however looks cool.
The phone case is a must on some models.
