A gizmo adapter came from China to-day. Lovely thing costing 4.67 after our new taxation.
    Took 17 days.
Nicest work from there I have seen in a while.

Counted 23 in the back yard the other day. 14 in the front. If this squirrel orgy continues until Spring?
    Time to cull...

    Cleaner/better eating in the winter.

But if you are like my neighborhood they eat as much from the garbage cans as anything.

I would have to be really hungry to eat one around here because as the saying goes you are what you eat.

I have 4 pecan trees and keep my trash tight, but I know what you mean. Used plastic store bags.
Go get gas? Drop a few in the can! Grocery store? Always a can there and in front of Lowes!

Wife swears by planting them where they dig. Works...

Trying to keep this on topic.........

When I lived in the rural area we burnt our garbage but disposable diapers don't burn well.

A neighbor would go to work in town and package the used diapers in a brown grocery sack. Package them tight and pretty.

He would leave them on the roof of his car and when he returned they would be gone.....

Fell down a new rabbit hole we like to call “smart home” over the holidays.
Started simple enough. Got the missez a little speaker box that connects to the internet and Amazon when you say Alexa out loud, for Christmas. Well geez if it doesn’t have add Ons such as lights, and switches and such. So Boxing week I find myself getting accessories,, including these lights.

And hey they throw in another little room speaker so Alexa can help in more places,,,,,
I gotta say, I’m diggin it. I have two levels of the house integrated now and while most everywhere I opted for basic white bulbs, in the family room I opted for the full colour spectrum lights. They are kinda awesome for the entertainment room. Go all shades of white and infinite colours, and lumens.
Go to the Philips site to see the effects but it looks better live.
Plus the smart home stuff is actually pretty smart and easy to set up. Get text notices when states change at home, and can create infinite patterns of occupancy when we aren’t home.
Just what I needed another gadget, har, but now it’s the whole domicile.
    Cheers gents.

Careful, Tom-You'll wind up like Carl in Caddyshack obsessing over the gophers. Maybe MikeB52 can use some smart-home technology to wire you up some squirrel-killing technology (though a good old-fashioned air rifle or .22 also works!).

Now if we could get something dead silent with a night vision scope that could kill rats and raccoons. . .
