    Franz Swaty 3 line.

What got me was the size...

Yep, That's 8" in length and the standard 2" width. It has a few chips on the ends but the sides are smooth and rounded. It has a bit of a warp so that the middle is high but that's end to end. Think this shouldn't be an issue. Side to side it's flat.

So that's my newest acquisition to the stone cabinet.

My buddy Joel put a rare earth magnet in a plug that's removed to drain the engine oil on my Harley. I 'might' have the only one of it's kind.

Kind of interesting as the magnet is shrouded in aluminum.

If you had an Indian you wouldn't have to worry about catching magnetic pieces.........

Actually I don't care what anyone rides--as long as they ride and enjoy doing so

Plug into a grommet or something, Roy?

I always flush my shavings out. No need to catch them and cry!

There is a neoprene hose that goes from the tank and that plug attaches to a clip on the frame--the diagram doesn't show the whole hose but it's outlined in red--

Here's where it attaches to the frame--

Gotcha....Only Harley Davidson could come-up with that!

So....You will be looking at the heaviest shavings, I suppose?

Well hopefully there won't be any shavings at all

The drain plugs for the transmission and the primary all have a magnetic tip on them. I just figured it would be a good addition.

I serviced my bike right before I put it up for the winter so it'll be awhile before I'll be putting the plug in. I don't think that the hose has enough play in it to get it higher than the tank and I don't want a petroleum Old Faithful on my hands.

    The honest truth!

I do think magnets are handy.
    Heading-off a disaster is handy as-well?
Catching normal wear and keeping the fuzz out of the flow is good for longevity, I expect.
