Uh... Welcome.
Just ran out an bought an ebay razor, eh? Hmmm... Have you read *any* of the sticky threads for beginners? Any of the "Helpful Links" from straightrazorplace.com ?
Not hatin', just sayin'
Regards,
Hahaha Yes! I've spent days reviewing reputable brands, but there's not really a way to know if the razors good until I shave with it for a while. I was looking at several german models Boker and Dovo, but from what I understand, steel from Sheffield is quality and should hold an edge well. It's in good condition and I'm excited to be able to use it. Once I find someone who can hone it for me that is! : )
See Jimbo's recommendations from your other thread.
Reading would have revealed that an ebay purchase is not recommended as a first purchase, particularly, if you want to shave with it right away.
I recommend SRD. Straight Razor Designs. Lynn is an imminently experienced honemeister. He honed my first one.
