Dear sirs,
The towels i use consantly change colours. i dont know the problem.
My setup is occitane cade rich cream with simpson badgers also i use verdon moisturizer and face wash.
after shave i dry my brush first on towel.
1. Can badger brush (cleaned with vinegar and detergent) cause this?
2. Can potassium hydroxide on the cream cause this?
3. Can face wash cause this?
Or any other ideas?

Those are bleach stains
If you are washing your towels after you have washed your whites with bleach, then there is still a small amount of bleach left in the machine, that mixes with your load of colored towels. Always wash whites last. Vinegar does not cause that, I use vinegar in my colors all the time.
You mentioned face wash, and some of them can definitely cause bleaching. The typical culprits are acne washes that contain benzoyl peroxide, a very common active ingredient in acne products, which also happens to also be an oxidizing agent and bleach. Benzoyl peroxide is also found in other acne products and skin lightening creams.

Uncle Sam taught me to clean & shine,,, it was peacetime for for my term , with exception to that small problem in Granada. I have always maintained the laundry & house cleaning, even through the marriage. I've had 35 years of keeping the brights , bright & the whites, white. :D
I had no idea so I stayed out of this one but..... I see the OP mentioned drying the brush on the towel ....... I have never touched a towel to my shaving brushes. I do 10, not 9, not 11, ten flips of the wrist , like snapping a whip :whipped: to get the excess water out, hang the brush bristles down overnight to dry. Anyway ........ that's what I do. :hmmm:

I was going to me three after hirlau, but i dont really count i just flick the water out into the bath or shower, and thats really it, so more of a pups in that respect.Quote:

Nah, we just turn the drum inside-out for the next load. All the bleach remnants get flung off due to centrifugal force. :w
Bleach in the wash? I haven't done that in 20 years. I only use bleach to sanitize the front loader every now and then. Most modern detergents do a great job on whites as is.
