Those look very good. What type of wood is it? And most importantly, what razor is it. Most use CA or more commonly known as "Super Glue" to seal and protect the wood and usually finishing with some sort of coating for a high shine.
Looking good.
Rich
Yes sir, looking good. Did you seal the wood so it won't take water in ?
Bob
Seal is more commonly known as varnish. Something like Minwax or equivalent is used for household wood like floors and decks. Cyanoacrylate is a good sealer from what these guys are saying and you can get good versions from your local hobby store.
*** you just need to coat the wood and smooth it out to keep water out
A waxed finish is fine,in reality your scales should never get wet.
Looks a bit like silky oak wood
The easiest seal would be a tung oil or bees wax type of polish maybe, make sure you get a realy good coating on the inside of the scales before pinning is a must to make it easier to maintain
