Most airplanes are examples of poor ergonomic placement with things haphazardly scattered all over the place. Many newer planes use joysticks to steer which can be placed in unconventional places.
I don't agree about off hand for finer work because most finer work needs better motor control and precision which most would need their dominant hand for. Gross work can be done with any hand.
thebigspendur,
You make good point, but I think people would be more careful with the dominant hand. I am left hand dominant, but when I shave WTG on the right side, I'll switch the razor to my right hand and I am much more careful. I have less nicks on the right side of my face than I do on my left.
I'm a righty but find my left hand has a lighter touch but less control.
Yep shave better as well as shoot better with my non dominant hand. I have learned that we tend to focus and concentrait on the basics when using the non dominant hand. :gwh:
That is very unusual. I used to be involved in law Enforcement Firearms Training and I don't think I had ever seen someone who shoots better with their non dominant hand. Some southpaws come close but take a typical right hander and have them fire a pistol at 25 yards with their non dominant hand and most can't hit the broadside of a barn.
I don't really do any ATG with my off hand but I have noticed that I tend to hold the razor at a slightly different angle with that hand. It makes a little bit different sound when going WTG.
