Default Second Time around with Straights and 98 shaves in...ouch

I shaved with straights for several years until our children came along. So during the off time I went back to a DE. At first it was too time consuming to straight shave trying to get our baby ready while my wife got ready and then me getting out the door to work in whatever time was left over. Then the toddler phase struck. I have to leave the bathroom door open while shaving, poor ventilation causing too much collected heat and humidity. But 98 days ago I pulled everything back out. It really was like riding a bike. Stropped it up and shaved away.

Until today. I had not had a nick, a weeper, a cut of any kind...then today I almost pierced my ear, put a divot in my upper lip, and four quite significant weepers on my neck. Everything can go down in hand basket pretty quickly. I think I may need to find someone to hone me up.

But yesterday...what a shave. I had my first shave with my new Nate's Straight Tiger Shark. That is a thing of beauty! Pics to come in tomorrows Shave of the Day. I trust you will all have wonderful shaves tomorrow!

I have two little guys too and it can be difficult to carve out that fifteen minutes to SR shave. (I regularly have my 20 month old trying to get in the bathroom) I have found it is easier for me to pull off the shave at night....so..... good luck, I feel your pain, and lets see some pics!!!

Mine have just turned three and four. They like to shave with me...so far so good. I give them a DE, without blade of course and everything is secured from them so they can't mix up. I would like to shave at night, however I have a very thick and dark beard. I would have to shave again in the morning to look professionally presentable.

    As for a few pics...

I may be letting a few of the Harts and perhaps the SRP go in a little while. I would like to reinvest some of that into some vintage hardware.
