Well I use a Safety razor and I bought a 100 pack for like 11$ I believe of Shark Double Edge Razor Blades, Super Stainless, 20 X 5 Count (100 blades). Anyways I don't know what I was doing wrong but my face would burn after every shave. It said on the pack that it came from Egypt. My concern is that my face looks very grey and burns after a shave with my Safety razor. Could it possibly be the blades or just me not disinfecting them before using it?

If I get a used vintage safety razor I do a wash with scrubbing bubbles and a tooth brush. If it is my razor I just rinse under the tap after a shave. So far so good.
I've not used shark blades, but Gillette Blue, Gillette Platinum, Feather, Derby, all good IME.
I would also guess it's the blades. Try getting a sample pack so you can try a few different ones. It could also be the soap/cream or to much pressure (if you are new to this)
You do not need to disinfect new razors. As rodb stated, buy a sampler pack and give each blade a try for a few days. If that doesn't work, try a new shaving cream. I may be best to start with a non scented soap formulated for sensitive skin until you find a blade that you like.
Never heard of anyone disinfecting new DE razor blades.
As mentioned already, your description fits the typical results when using a below-standard blades.

Different razor, different blade, different face.
Different combinations work for different people. New blades do not need to be disinfected but the particular new blade you chose may not suit your razor and face. Your best bet is to try a sample pack of a variety of blades.
That's funny! I don't have experience with any other blades because I use straights almost exclusively unless I'm away from home but when I do use a blade for my shavette it's those exact Shark blades from amazon and I have no problems at all. I only do 1 pass with them because I find if I do two I will get a wicked razor burn! I am not endorsing the blades and I would listen to your advice if I needed blades because clearly you guys are the experts! So OP if the Shark blades aren't working for you try something else.. nothing is worse then not enjoying your shave because that's the point of wet shaving. :gl:Quote:

If you're new to DE shaving, I'd suspect your technique. Making a proper lather, prepping your face, knowing your beard direction, not using too much pressure, all those kinds of things. Watch Mantic59's videos on YouTube.
Sharks are my Go-To blades, love them,,, never had a problem with any of them & I get "5" great shaves out of each blade.
The only blade I like better is Feather,,,:shrug:
