Hi! Folks From deep in South Alabama!!.
I have a couple of razors that I am planning on putting an edge on and giving it a try. My younger brother straight razors and he has given me the bug, I have a Worchester From Worchester, Mass., Then I have a Tiger? that's all it says on it. Then today I bought a H.C.Wentworth&Sons. it says "Real German Hollow" below this it says "trade mark" 3rd. line says "Ground Razor". I plan on using this one to shave with. Thanks for having me on the forum, I'll be on here dayly to check things out.

Welcome to SRP!
First, let me suggest that you send the razors out for professional honing. It is not like sharpening a pocket knife. There are honers listed in the classified section of this site.
Second, make sure you read through the Beginner's Section in the Library. It has a lot of good information that will answer a lot of your questions.
If you have any other questions, then feel free to ask, we are here to help.

Hi and welcome. I wouldn't expect to get honing right out the gate if I were you. It will take some practice and even then will continue to get better as you go. As Cris said send one for a pro honing and then try on one your not shaving with. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask

Thanks for the welcomes!, I live in Grand Bay, AL. right down here on the coast, 10 miles from the Miss. state line. I have read a bunch on here already, I may send a blade or two out for honing but right now I'll wait till my brother gets here and we put an edge on one, if we can't then I'll send a couple out. I haven't shaved for 4 days now just to have something to shave off!.
