Hey all,
Pictured below is a photo of a vintage straight razor I want to put back into shave ready condition. My only question is what's the best way to remove those two small chips on the blade? I have a 220/1000 grit Norton stone. Looks pretty small chips. 1000 should do it easy enough. Use 45 degree strokes till almost out then slowly drop until normal in a couple increments. Finish setting bevel as normal.
I would just re -radius the stabiliser into the healthy edge.
First things first - get the rust off. WD-40 with some steel wool will do.
Second, it's a small chip.. 1K strokes with some pressure will do...
