Newb in Southern California seeks honing mentor

I'm looking for a mentor, specifically for honing, in the Southern California area. Preferably between LA and Palm Springs. I live nearby Fontana but am willing to drive to meet. I'm also willing to compensate you for your time, either with cash, cold brew, or whatever floats your boat.

Right now my honing skills are basically zero and I would like to improve. I have come to the conclusion that Lynn's youtube videos (although very helpful) fall short of some personal instruction on honing. I have a single norton 4k/8k I wish to learn on.
