I have the G-20 in that same color. I figured that way I didn't have to clean the lather off of it!
I like the size of the G-20 and it is my only scuttle. It is large on my small sink but the lathering bowl size is about ideal. I don't have a sense of how much smaller the G-12 is but I hope that it works well for you!
G-12 is as big as my mug. The 20 must be HUGE!!! And according to the Mrs this will be my ONLY scuttle too!!!lolQuote:

The only difference between the two is the hot water capacity. 12 oz vs 20 oz, the G-20 being one inch taller,the lathering bowl dimensions are identical. Edit:My G-20 measures 5.25 Dia X 4.25 H.

Does the plug help keep the scuttle water hotter? I use something similar to the following https://www.etsy.com/listing/2803311...=sr_gallery_11 but the water gets lukewarm pretty quickly. I usually refill it after my first pass (the bottom portion), relather, and then repeat after my XTG pass.
I want to believe it does. ;)
My G-20 holds up for whole shave with 140F tap water.
When I want HOT, it's easy to put on a tea kettle, that'sa Hot'a wat'a. Careful though.
Have you tried pre warming it? Fill the top and bottom with hot water for a few minutes, tip out and refil the bottom?Quote:
