New to the Team / Looking for opinions!

Hey Team,

I have been using a straight razor for a couple years now and have loved the skilled required.
I am not an expert restorer but I want to learn! I have acquired a couple razors and am now in the process of researching in order to restore them in order to give some of them to friends looking to take the plunge.

So I have these razors and before I do anything to them, I am wondering if you might know some info about them.

I am especially interested about the history of the Boker that says "Ask for 38" on the tang. I have a ton more pictures of each one and have posted them here

I checked your link and it mostly DE razors and SOTD pictures.
All I can tell from your picture is that most of those blades appear to need a good cleaning to start with. WD-40, 0000 steel wool, and elbow grease is a pretty good deep clean. It is best to start with the least invasive method. Full hollow razors will not withstand much in the way of sanding, they are already as thin as they can be. Mother polish works well to bring bling and shine to razors. Some of those you will want to remove the scales and clean under them. Making new pins is an adventure too. Definitely keep us posted with some WIP pictures and let us know how things progress!
As for the Boker? I haven't seen that stamped into the tang before, that's pretty interesting

I will be starting the project early in January so I will be pretty active posting starting then. I have done a fair bit of research into the "Ask for 38" and haven't found anything and I must say that it has me quite intrigued.
