    Default First Shave! Amazing

Well, tonight I had my first shave. Amazing the comparison between my Mach3 and the Geneva straight!! The sensation was a bit odd at first, but I quickly fell in love with it.

I must say, the end result was less than satisfactory. Shaving the cheeks WTG went well, and feel wonderful. The rest however...well let's just say the angles were hard to get, and shaving with the left hand will take a LOT of practice. I still have quite a few patches left on the neck, but that will wait until the next shave. I already feel a little bit of razor burn!

It's great to have the first shave in the bag. Make sure you strop before every shave and have proper shave prep. You will need a few shaves to get all your angles and technique down. Good luck and keep practicing.

Thanks! I have a feeling I will need to wait to shave again until I get a new strop. I think the strop I have right now is no good. Maybe I can take a picture of it when I get home this evening to get someone's professional opinion.

Congratulations! Shaving with the str8 at first does feel awkward at first. Now, I can't imagine shaving any other way. And you're right, strops are very important.
