what is a good size to start with. 5/8 or 6/8?
i ment razor...... sorry
My first razor was a Dovo 4/8. Since then I've acquired a number of 5/8's and 6/8's all of which are used in my rotation.
You will need to try the various sizes and see what you like.
Good luck, it's a fun experience
LIMIT
If you have an average or light beard then either one will do. If you beard is heavy/coarse/tough then you will probably do better with a 6/8.
Just my two cents,:)
hello,
I have: 4/8°, 5/8°, 6/8° and 7/8° ones,
and really, that depends the day, the mood,
if I'm hurry I'll take the 5/8°...
the 4/8° and infirior sizes are not for shaving, but for cutting hair and shaving just the nape of the neck.
bye
I find my 6/8" to be more comfortable to use than my 5/8" because I have big hands and big fingers and my fingertips tend to drag on my face a little more often with the 5 than with the 6.
If I should start again I would have chosen a round tip 5/8 or 6/8
Hmmmm whats the best kind of woman, gun, golf clubs etc: etc:
Most is personal preference !!!!
My solution is to own as many as possible :)
However for my tastes a 11/16 is my goto size....
But my best shaver is a 4/8 Go figure :roflmao
See what I mean, just try them all :D
If I only had one razor to shave with , I would choose a 5/8 . The 5/8 will be large enough for the heavy cutting , yet small enough to do the tight spots , ie: upper and lower lip , for me . Thankfully , I have more than one razor , so I prefer a 6/8 for the heavy work , and a 4/8-9/16 for the tight spots . I still use my 5/8 razors , too , but I consider the 5/8 to be a "compromise" razor . If I could only have one , it would be a 5/8 .
Being a newbe, that has large hands I have found that using my 6/8 for my initial shave then use a 4/8 for the final cleaning. The 4/8 seems to work better since I'm not really trying to work through a stiff beard since at this time it has soaked in shaving soap and made softer.
