Introduction
Hi all...
I'm new to the forum, but I guess I can't say I'm new to shaving with a straight razor. Bought my first one at the tender age of 17 ( that was in 1968), so I've been shaving with one for 40 years. I've acquired a lot of them over the years, including my Great Grandfather's Henckel, which still shaves great, by the way.
I'm a full time knifemaker and have just finished making my first straight razor. The jury is out, yet, but I'll keep you posted (if interested) in how it performs. I think a few more trials might be in order before I'm satisfied, or would put one of them in someone else's hands!
I look forward to joining the group and participating any way I can, as well as picking up tips from the other forums!
Thanks for having me.....

Welcome!
Looking forward to seeing your work!

Perhaps you could post an add when you are ready in the marketing section. As long as you do not exceed the prices on the open market you might make some sales that way. I generally do business with a local company called the Knife Center, where a carbon steel straight can come as low as $50 and $99 for a stainless steel.

Welcome Kipper! I feel humbled...I've been shaving with a straight for a month now. Looks like I'll be learning a lot from you!

Welcome to SRP Knipper! I think that we would all like
to encourage you to stick with the razor manufacturing.
Keep us posted on how it goes!

Hello Terry!:)
I was just browsing the member list and saw you there! I hope you post some pics of your razors soon. Doc Molenaar saw some of your razors at a show a few months ago and said they looked pretty good!
I am going to try to set up a Str8 shaver get together soon. Hope to see you there.:)

THE Knipper???!!! What a swell guy. None of your teasing us about razors is any good without pictures ya know.

Welcome Knipper!
Looking forward to your participation in the forum and seeing some of your handiwork.

Hi Knipper,
What brought you here after all those years of shaving experience?

Good to have you man. You know your name means cutter (as in with scissors) in dutch. Apropriate for a forum that is focused on hair removal I rather think.
