I am going to get some of that Camellia oil to protect blades from rust. Currently using a silicon cloth impregnated with RIG. What is the best way to get the oil off of the blade before touching it to waterstone or strop?

Paper towell?
The stuff I use now doesn't leave a residue. I don't want to take a chance on oil coming in contact with my waterstones. I was thinking lighter fluid or a degreaser like Starrat LPS. I just wonder what the fellows that use a viscous oil use. Would a Kleenex tissue be adequate?
I use rubbing alcohol. Blade comes squeaky clean.
