Lawman, I live in an area with water so hard it can chip a tooth when you drink it. I to use mostly glycerin soap. I buy mine from a head shop in flagstaff. arizona. They sell the end cuts for 50% off.
I melt 2 or 3 chuncks in the microwave for a couple of minutes. This is in a 16 oz extra large coffee or soup mug .My scent is never the same. I might have apple mixed with moca coffee. Once it was blueberry and grape. Anyway it lathers up after I let the hardened soap soak in a half of a inch of really hot water. After 2 or 3 minutes I dump the water and shake out my brush that also was soaking in hot water.I beat my Badger brush up and down about 30x and do figure 8's with it at the same time.
Presto enough soap in the brush to do 2 passes with the razor. Good luck.
