I would like to also thank Glen for his help in countless opportunities on different aspects of the straight razor world, including: honing, buying equipment, which razors to buy and even serving as Guinea pig... (testing the bomb) ;). He deserves all the credit in the world for his efforts and kindness, and as he says, he must be having a lot of fun with this because he certainly does a lot for us in this forum. Thank you Glen.
Al raz.
You don't have to hang around SRP long to see Glen unselfishly helping not only new folks but us old timers as well. He exemplifies and sets an outstanding example of the values that SRP was founded on and have held high since we started.
Thanks Glen!!
Lynn
WORD ! :D
I appreciate all the thanks guys really I do but, truly this forum is a huge group of great people, that makes it very easy, to want to help out as much as possible...
Plus hey, I gotta thank you all, because without ya, my wife would have killed me long ago from filling her ears with "razor rattle" :D
Adding my thanks to Glen as well. I sent him 3 of a group of razors I won on an eBay auction. One without scales as they were cracked and I removed them. He not only honed and cleaned them up, but sent me the unscaled one in a set of scales he had lying around so I could start with it right away. And shipped them fast (which is good, because I was staring at the mailbox for hours on end) :D. Here's a pic of his work. The pic is his, I'm not that proficient with razor pr0n shots yet.

from the top:
Helma 59 from Utica Cutlery (the one he put the scales on for me)
Robeson Shuredge 1585
Allegany Instrument Corp (for now I'm keeping this as my comparison edge to check my stropping)
I took the Helma for a run on the cheeks as my first shaving with a straight. I can see now what all the fuss is about. Thanks Glen for putting me on track.
Just add me to the list of the many who has been helped by Glen.
All the PM's and questions answered in threads... always giving insite and patiantly answering questions that may have been asked 10 times before, but Glen answers then as if its the first time.
