Welcome and watch out for RAD. Take it slow and enjoy
At this point the shave ready razor is the key (I'm assuming that is the case). Other than that, you have a nice set-up. ie It all works. Good luck and keep posting, loads of good answers to specific questions can be found on this board. Good luck, have fun etc.
Really sweet razor, those Dovo #105's take a scary sharp edge and Lynn and Don definitely know how to get it there...
I think you have a great start for equipment, the SRD strop is highly rated and you picked my personal favorite in brush brands :D
Welcome aboard the straight razor train, take the first few shaves slow and easy and they will just keep getting better and better....
I just started shaving 4 months ago and this is what i bought...
Welcome to SRP! Sounds like a great setup. Go slow and have fun.
Although I have never purchased a razor from SRD, Lynn has honed all of my current razors. You will not have any problem with your razor. If you do have problems with your first (or second, or third) shave it will be because of incorrect technique, not your razor. My biggest advice is to take your time. As tempting as it will be to go beyond, start with the area between your sideburn and jaw line, and WTG only. Your face will thank you for it. It's not a race, rather it's a learning process. And congrats on your set!! :gl:
Thanks for all the encouragement. I have read a lot on the site and watched a bunch of the videos.
There is so much information to digest. I went back and forth for a week trying to figure out what I was going to buy.
I know I should go slow and I will do my best not to shave my whole face the first time out.
Hopefully the temptation of it all will not get the best of me. Which of Colleens soap do you recommend.
I am going to order the black cavandish in paste and solid form. Any other scents I should look at?
Nice set up much nicer than what I started with! Just take your time and enjoy the new equipment!! Welcome to SRP :gl:
