"Is this really shave ready?" - Follow up & Solution

Wanted to follow up, especially in seeing some of the new posts here that look to be closely addressing my issue. Many thanks to all who provided basically the same support.
I am sitting here this morning with cup of coffee in left hand and with my right hand stroking the best shaved face I have ever had with the SR (I am typing with my feet!), two tiny nicks - stopped immediately with cold water rinse, no cuts and only minor razor burn on the chin. And I was left wishing I could shave again - it is just so cool shaving like this! :cool:
The three main corrections:
1) I linen stropped 50 x, followed by leather. NO TOUCH UP HONING.
2) Same prep as before but using almost boiling water to make a lather (did NOT soak my Badger Brush in this - just dipped the bristles), + I added some Bigelow shaving cream to the bowl before I used the col. bay rum soap. Incredible lather that I spent time making and applying. I then addressed #1 above while the lather did its magic on my beard.
3) decreased the blade angles and SLOWED DOWN!
It still took me an hour from start to finish but that is fine indeed. I shave in the evenings and with such a close shave it lasts for two days. So, if it took me about twenty minutes to save everyday with the cartridge or plastic landfill makers, compared to an hour where my face is BBS and my wife loves to rub her hands and cheek on it. . . . what is not to like?
