I am new to this message board and hope you can help with some information. My brother in-law-law passed away earlier in the year. He was a barber by profession and had bought a couple of art deco (1950's) barbers chairs before he died. They are built by company called Koken and the model is the Premier. Is this website or are there other websites that can help me determine what they might be worth? I can post pictures if needed.

these forums are to help people who are interested in shaving with straight razors. perhaps somebody would have a suggestion where to look for such info, so check this thread every now and then.
I just bought a used barber chair in excellent condition for 1 Euro. The barber had remodeled and just wanted someone to take it away. Unless you stumble over someone looking for exactly that style of chair, I don't think it would be worth much. My suggestion would be to advertise it on eBay or Craigslist and you might fight an amateur like me that has to have one. I would have paid up to $100 for a nice used chair. Based on what I've seen in Europe, an ordinary barbers chair can be found for about $400 new (plus shipping). Something really special like a recreation of an 1890s chair can go for $4000.
