Can you identify this razor?

Hi Everyone!

First, what an awesome community! I'm a newbie, and am just getting to understand the many aspects of what it takes to use a SR; I think I've finally had enough of my Mach 5 (sorta reminds me of comparing old-school Detroit muscle with these new street customs). I have a few questions, but the most pressing has to do with the attached razor.

After expressing my interest in using a SR with my Dad (I'm 30, he's 64), he mentioned that he had been holding onto a SR that he originally got from the adopted family member for which he was named after from that man's estate. The razor is in it's original box and wrapped in the original tissue paper; it's never been used. The box states Genco Company (of which I've seen similar boxes in the Genco part of this website) in Bradford, PA (I'm guessing when Case moved them there). Either on the blade or the box is "Heckel Bros., Kansas City MO". On one side of the blade is stamped "Germany", on the other side is "Bob White" with the picture of a bird stamped between Bob and White. To my Dad's understanding, the handle is made out of ivory (he was offered $150 for it when I was very young). Can you SR experts help me out with some history on this and/or an approximate value? Should this be something that should be used or some kind of unknown investment?

Some of my other simpler questions:

1.) Do any of you use your SR outside of the house? I get ready at the gym, and need to pack light if it's at all possible. What do you do?
2.) I understand the principal of lather and the brush, but do any of you use gels? How about "King of Shaves"? Please don't smack me around too hard; their menthol-stuff is pretty good, plus you can take multiple passes and it keeps the skin slick.
3.) Do any of you shave with just one razor? I'm not sure if the collections I keep seeing are just for collecting-sake or because you don't want to keep stropping your razor every day.

Not sure about your razor. As to your other questions:

1) I have used my SR away from home. Hanging strops can be an issue, but a hand help paddle type strop should solve that.

2) I've been using canned shave cream for the past several weeks. Much more convenient than a mug and brush. My shaves, and my face, have not suffered a bit.

3) Although I have several razors, I use one every day. Can't quite remember the last time I used one of the others.
