Old Barber School Texts?
I was thinking that an old barber school textbook might be an interesting piece to have as it would discuss shaving, stropping and honing techniques. My guess is that YouTube and other videos (like Lynn's) are much better teaching tools, but it would be interesting to see if there are differences in technique that have developed over the years. If anyone knows of a source for an old "text" that will have some pertinent straight razor content, I would appreciate the tip.

Awesome ... didn't know that was here on the site. Thanks much.

I have my dad's "The Barbers' Manual", Moler, 1931 edition, and "Standardized Textbook of Barbering", Associated Master Barbers of America, also 1931 edition. They both teach the same shaving forms, which have been posted in various forums. Unfortunately, they rely on being able to use 3 or 4 different grips and being able to move around the customer. The info here is much more useful for shaving one's self.

Thanks guys ... I still may look for a text on ebay, but sounds like it will have little valuable info that is not available on this site.
