Unknowingly ambidextrous

I've been toying with the razors I just purchased, watching some of the instructional videos and reading the wiki. Decided to try some of the hand positions, just as easy with the left hand as with the right. "Pretended" to shave (kind of hard to say that) with the spine side of the razor and mimicked the movements. It's a bit tougher to see what I'm doing, the scales or tang are often interfering with my vision. I'm sure it will feel more natural with time, I am writing to specifically say I had always anticipated the left hand being more difficult than the right. A member at B&B had mentioned that since he was learning a new skill, there's no predetermined bias for one hand or another, and I think he hit it right on the head. Having a good time so far, maybe when I get one of these suckers shave ready it'll really be fun :)

I found learning to shave with both hands really easy-- as you said, it is a brand new skill so your dominant hand does not have that much of an advantage

Welcome to SRP. Good luck and keep it up I really enjoy using both hand and there is no better time to learn then when you first start.

I initially started trying to cross over and shave my left side with right hand which worked for a while, but now I've gradually increased my left hand control and can use both hands fine now.
