First BBS shave

Woohoo! Day 19, and this morning's shave was a winner. The Heljestrand Mk 31 (honed by me, so probably not terribly sharp), plus a mix of Proraso and Conk's Bay Rum with the Tweezerman brush, followed by Nivea AS.

ATG passes on both cheeks, and I can finally say I have achieved BBS, at least there. I have to say, I really was beginning to doubt that I was going to get a really close shave, but there it is! It's 3:00pm now, and it's still smooth.

I celebrated this morning by taking advantage of the last day of the SRD lifetime hone offer, and ordered a silver steel ebony Dovo. Thanks Lynn! Hope to do a lot more business with you in the future.

Congratulations! I just had my first BBS shave not long ago, but it took me much longer to get there. With a razor that you honed yourself, that must be particularly satisfying.
