Post barber hone?

So, One quick question. I just did my first ever /real/ touchup (a Keen Kutter, THANKS LYNN!) (as opposed to a Crox strop) so... I've watched Lynn hone, and it ends with the 12k naniwa, then a diamond flat bed, then a strop...

I'm wondering if the Barber's hone has the same process, do you go Barber Hone, Pasted fabric, leather, or is it just BArber's hone, leather?

You can do both ways, however a barber's hone was intended to touch up during a shave if the barber felt any tugging and wished for a keener edge. Thats what I have understood.

I would going straight from the barber hone to your non-pasted strop and try it out.

Then in a few nights go to the CrO and see if you notice a difference and which edge you prefer.

If you can match up the Barber Hone to your pasted paddle strop so they compliment each other, your may avoid a big honing for a very long time.

+1 When I touch up blades I always go cromox strop then latigo strop because I like the edge I get after that process. When I started honing and touching up my blades I did just what Slartibartfast said and tried both ways and this is the way I prefer.
