I think you would be wise to buy a shave ready razr from lynn or tony they can prob fill your needs and respect your wallet...leve ebay alone for now...

Oh I intend to, don't get me wrong. I also want a second razor so I can practice honing one without destroying a beautiful edge that one of the honemeister's have already established. I've got Tony's list and have been looking it over and I have checked out Bill's site also. I move slowly though, it takes me a while to make up my mind :)
I figured I'd buy one from someone here to *use* and then get a second one to practice with and compare to the first one. I am in no way confident that I could turn one into a "shave ready" razor from the outset.
