first "propper" razor and strop Oppinions please
Hi i'm new here, i have used this site alot in deciding which razor i should get and thank god i did, i nearly ended up with alot of rubbish but after a look here at some reviews have been saved.
Now i've been shaving straight razor for a few weeks now, so im still learning but am down to, on average, 2 nicks per shave, and thats with 2 passes and a pretty good finish :D
Now previously i've been using a shavette and tbh the blade is so unforgiving that it made my first few attempts awful (especially seeing I started with full face not just easy areas :gaah:)
So i finally decided that it was time i moved on to a propper razor but being untill recently a student i was...well...skint haha, so whilst browsing ebay i came across this

After looking it up on this site, as i have with every other razor i considdered, i noticed the 7/8th one was on here with a shining review.
Soo i bought it.
I realize the scales will need a bit of glue but i dont mind a bit of work, should add to the pride when i use it :D.
I also needed a strop so bought this one

Now I was wondering if anyone had used either of these before, if so what do you think of them.
If anyone has any oppinions or advice too that'd be great.
