I have 8 in rotation and another 6 that need some type of repair. For me the main thing that curbs my addiction is money. Spend too much to soon and the wife will flip out. So I keep the purchases low.

thats the kind of things i look forward to as well. Unfortunately, right now it's more like, "You shave with what?!" "Man, what happen to you, did you get in a fight with a cat?" "Hey, looks like that straight razor really works huh?" But ultimately...yes those are the remarks i want.
I go for 100.:) but i have only 15 or 16 razors. So i should continue to collect.:)
For shaving purposes, you only need one.
A spare would be useful. Any more than that and you are talking about wanting rather than needing.
I really appreciate the sentiment, but i've been dealing with the same guys long enough that i dont even pay it any attention. I can say that being in the military, most of these guys are like brothers, and if they didnt pick on me...then there was something wrong. But i have found too much passion in the art of straight shaving and like everyone says so often, i cant wait for the next day to shave. Like you said, many of these guys wouldnt be brave enough to try it. Thanks again for the kind words.
So you're saying I can quit buy razors when I have about 400 of them? That's great! I keep telling the wife that she only has two feet, but that doesn't seem to make any headway. Because I only have one face at the moment, what is left of it anyway, maybe I can keep that down to 200 razors. Geez, I may have to knock out a wall!
I've got 5, but I only shave with 2. Personally I think 1 is all you need, but its great to have 2 sharp and shave ready just in case.
If you want more, I'd agree with the advise to go with different brands, sizes, and grinds.
