I began SR shaving about 1 month ago. I seem to be doing ok with the strop as the razor is plenty sharp. However, when I finish stopping with the leather, there is a small amount of black fuzz on the spine. Am I doing something wrong or is it because of the shape of the razor?
Razor: Dovo Prima Klang (extra hollow ground)
Strop: SRD 3" black latigo with SRD 3" Primium Fabric
I will assume it was a new strop.
Depending on the finish some strops will do that. It should stop or lessen as you use it.

Thanks guys. The strop was brand spankin' new at the same time as the razor.
So this is just normal "break in" of the strop. Good to know.
Should I put some sort of "dressing" on the strop or just let it be? So far all I have done to it is palm rub it and use it.

I would suspect that no dressing is needed for the strop.
Rub the stropping surface well with a micro-fibre cloth to remove any surface cruft, then rub with palm of hand before each stropping session.
Some strop leather (e.g. latigo, English bridle) will have some surface 'accumulation' when new, but this soon settles down.

Thanks guys. I was afraid I was slowly tearing up a brand new strop and couldn't figure out why. I'll wipe it down and give it a good rub.
