Myself, I use a bandsaw. Much thinner kerf and much less ham and cheese or tuna fish wasted. :rock:
So, Howard, what you described would be the "imperfect edge?" :shrug:

You do have to watch it with the grinders. My 2x72 uses nice, long belts which greatly help keep the heat down. I also keep a bucket of cold water handy to dunk in as needed.
All of that said, I would never take a straight to it, no way, not no how.
