It's here!
I just received my first straight razor in the mail today. It's a Wolstenholm Pipe purchased from the SRP classifieds for a very reasonable price. I am still waiting on my strop , it should be here soon, hopefully. I have a couple of brushes , both entry level boars that are more than serviceable. I'm set with soap , I've actually used real shaving soap and brushes for a few years even though I was shavin' with mach 3's. I haven't tried a wide variety of soaps , but I have some Williams , some Van Hagen , and my favorite Hunka Honey Shaving Bar from Dirty Girl Soaps. I'm not too crazy about the Williams , it leaves my face feeling dried out. I'm getting pretty stoked waiting for my first self straight shave!
Here's a couple pics of my razor , sorry they aren't of better quality.
