Can someone tell me the value of this razor it has never seen daylight until today .
I am in charge the sale of an estate and this item seems valuable.
I noticed a post on restoration of a 6/8 that looks exactly like this one , with the exception that this one needs no restoration it is in better than perfect condition.

No can do...SRP expressly prohibits members from giving that type of information in the forums.
I can say that Dovo Fritz Brachts are highly regarded among straight razor shavers.
If possible, post a photo or two of the razor. Then a member may be able to guide you to a book on vintage straight razors with estimated prices.
Of course, it would have been worth more if you had not opened it.

Here is the reason for the rule. Almost every day someone joins up here for the sole purpose of trying to sell some razors and hoping to find out their value. Now, that is perfectly innocent on the potential seller's part but it runs counter to our main purpose here, which is the promotion of education regarding the USE of straight razors.Quote:
