Second shave that went very well !

Hello all ,

Been shaving with my straight razor for almost two months . Today was the second time it all went well . No nicks or cuts and even my left hand is getting less shaky ! ha ha I feel more confident now , that my stropping is actually working . Obviously as stated by many , never underestimate the value of your strop !

I'm still not going to go from the bottom of my throat (below adams apple) to the top yet (ATG ? ) - even with my DE , it resulted in skin irritation . Nonetheless , I'm happy with my small improvements and thanks to all the great advice and wiki info here .

Sounds like you are on your merry way to fine straight shaves.
Never mind the ATG stuff, you may actually find that when your technique has improved, that WTG and XTG might be all you need for BBS shave:)

Congratulations on your achievements! Straight razor shaving takes a little getting used to, and it sounds like you are through the worst of it. It will continue to get better and like Birnando says, WTG and XTG may be sufficient once your technique is steady. Anyways, well done :tu
