Note how he stretches the skin. I copy his "moves" in my shaving routine and it has made a HUGE difference. I believe this guy is a barber. Music is pretty cool too!

I love AJs blades, are works of art.But that little skinny guy using one is spooky:)
Great video, I just saw the version without music.
Here's an even better one for inspiration, this guy have shaved straight for 30 years and it sure shows!
‪Chimensch's Shaving Video‬‏ - YouTube
If you guys are going to watch video's, you should entertain: World Of Straight Razor DVD - Straight Razor Place Classifieds
Why not learn from one of the most respected men here at SRP?
You can definintely tell the older guy has been straight shaving for a long time.
OH MY GOD!!! This guy might just be my new personal hero!! What's amazing is he shaves with a freakin' t-shirt on and doesn't get a drop on it!! I've never even seen a barber this comfortable with a razor.
Awesome scuttle by the way.
This video should be a sticky in the beginner's forum. :bow
Does anyone else wipe the blade on a sponge rather than rinse it? Any particular reason why that would be better/worse?
Sounds like a wonderful way to grow your own bacteria colony...
I don't believe that's a problem, what about towels that was rather common to use before? I soak the sponge in as hot water as possible when I shower, and rinse it well under running water at the same temperature after shaving, and replace it every few weeks.
And I rinse the razor under hot running water between passes and after shaving.
Hmmm, yes. I am just jealous of the amount of heavy duty steel this guy has at his disposal.
Oh, I got myself a sponge after seeing the 2nd video 3 weeks ago on YouTube, I can’t be that careful when I wipe the suds and whiskers away therefore the sponge is looking a little worse for wear and I had pieces of sponge debris around the bathroom so I am now just rinsing the blade in water..
Interesting. I should try to stretch my skin more often. I usually forget LOL.
Also I found his blade angle a bit steep? or am I just seeing things.
I look forward to the day when I can shave like this fellow. Although he has that nice easy to shave round face that I do not LOL
After seeing the 2nd video again I can’t help notice this guy appears to have soft youthful skin for his age, maybe that is the result of years of straight razor shaving. My face and bone structure however resembles something like craters of the moon and tight defined jaw and chin angles and my skin actually hugs the jaw bone and concaves in just under it making getting around the jaw somewhat difficult even though I try to stretch the skin up and over my jaw. Maybe I am yet again trying to justify my poor beginner’s straight shaves.
Not sure what it is about the video, but the images sure stick in your mind unlike those in others I've watched. It's got to be his confidence and speed. And I like the audio silence--no need to juice this one up with hip-hop.
I want that huge scuttle. can keep the lather warm for long
