Just thought I would check to see if there are any other members in or around the Pittsburgh area. I am a transplant to the Burgh so I have to really force my self to use Pittsburghese. :)

Old thread I know. But I’m from the Burgh. Been on the site a while now. Would be nice to do a western PA/tri State meetup sometime...I live in Canonsburg dahn near Warshington

I lived in Mt. Lebanon a couple of times during the 1950s and 60s. Apropos Canonsburg, I remember going to the Allegheny County Fair and seeing Bobby Vinton perform. (I also remember the trolley connecting Mt. Lebo to downtown Pittsburgh, but those days are long gone... as are "cake socks")Quote:

Hi relli... Wife gave me a kit / package she ordered from Amazon, after finding it on a website of "5 best straight razors for 2017" (or something like that.) It's an A.P. Donovan that comes with a short strop and little cake of paste, brush and little tub of shaving cream. From a few comments on the site, by others that know way more than me, this might not be a great razor, but it was a nice gift none the less. I've been to Canonsburg a few times over the years, cool place.
I'm a Pittsburgher, grew up in Wilkinsburg. Denver area now though.
