Strop Advice
I have nicked my strop ever so slightly. The damage are very small superficial surface cuts. Is a quick sand with very fine sandpaper ok? Do I need to worry about them? See pic below, ignore shading its just shadow.
I have also taken a photo of the reverse of the strop. It much rougher in texture but looks like made well/intentionally. Is this a linen type sub??
The stop is marked: Maker P. A. Brown 011 Australia
Any help very much appreciated

Those are nothing to worry about. I probably would not even bother sanding or pumicing them. Is the back a separate piece of leather, or just the back of the strop? Leather has a finished and an unfinished side - that looks like the unfinished side to me.

I'm with Jimbo. Those are pretty small nicks. Slowly run your razor over top of them, very carefully and softly. Do you feel any bumps, or bumping....? If yes, give a quick sand. If no, leave it alone.
Alternately, you could always just put a bit of pressure in that area by rubbing it with your thumb. That may do the trick for small nicks. That's what I do anyways.....
