Damn it was beautiful...
I woke up to a crisp, sunny November morning today. First day off of the week and I had the apartment to myself. It was the perfect time to shave. After a couple of rough shaves and some nasty cuts I was hellbound and determined to finally give myself a proper straight razor shave. I was truly all business about my shave this morning and it certainly helped that I was in no rush either. After a nice hot shower and proper face prep, I stropped the blade, lathered up and was ready. The shave couldn't have gone any better, I was relaxed and my only focus was right there in the moment. Everything finally came together and it was as if I'd been shaving this way for years. I think what made the biggest difference this morning was not letting my attention wander and not rushing any part of the shave. My concentration clearly made the difference and once I was ready to finish up, not a nick or cut in sight:) I cleaned myself up and put on my favorite aftershave and realized that for the first time, I had finally given myself a proper shave with my straight. I feel like a million bucks but now it's on to other things like fixing myself a civilized breakfast. Enjoy your day gentleman. Cheers.

It's a great feeling when it all comes together and you end up with a great shave. Kudos to you.
On a side not, today is November 5th and by my calculations yesterday would have been November 4th, did you forget to switch flip the month on your calendar? :w

Well by October I meant November, whoops. Ha ha. Will edit that now.

Congrats! You got it to work like a meditation. That's how I like my shaves to go.
