I forgot the WATER!

Well, I'm about five shaves in now (I've stopped counting, really. I know I'm here to stay), and this morning I took a hot shower to get ready for work. I whipped up a nice hot lather, and stropped the crap out of my razor. Didn't even knick my strop this morning! So, I lather up to my liking, and I am just about finished shaving when I realized - :thinking:"huh, damn, I think I forgot to water up my face":gaah:. It wasn't the worst shave of my life, but I definitely felt some drag and irritation. Anybody else been in this situation before?

I have had some pretty bad shaves in the beginning. I know where you are coming from. I didn't know to water up before I applied the soap. I whipped up some "lather" (well what I thought lather was supposed to be) and went to town. After a few shaves my man gene went into remission (they point where you know you are doing it wrong and you need help) I started looking on you tube and google and after trolling the forum for a few weeks I joined. My shaves have gotten so much better in the past year, and I can thank all of the members who helped by answering questions I know they have answered many times before, and posted and shared their own knowledge
