Im back again, but with even more interesting questions....maybe...

haha hey guys, from previous thread i was going to send my Fa clauberg to SRD for some honing, and some mentioned to get it polished as well. Unfortunately SRD doesnt do polishing so heres to question:

Has anyone ever used NEVERDULL on a razor to polish? i know it works very well on all my old cars, and record players etc. pretty awesome stuff.
how bout FLITZ? prolly take a long time with flitz as its so awesome each wipe the rag is black. but the end result is amazing. it can even be used for nickel and brass, i use it on my gramophones, and it restores them to brand new.


i dont want to use any kind of power tool etc for the polish, since ima do it myself. i dont mind the elbow grease. i just dont want to damage the blade or take off any protective layer that might cause it to rust. of course its been in the box for prolly 40 years and still hasnt rusted so.....

thanks for all the previous info guys. maybe if yall havent heard of this stuff. look it up, i havent had a single person not like it. but when it comes to razors i know NOTHING. so thats where yall come in :)

I've used Maas with success. No experience with those others

Flitz, Maas, Simichrome, mother's mag polish... all work fine and your it will take time and elbow grease but will look great in the end.

Neverdull is great on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum,gold, silver,magnesium,will no do squat to steel.

I would see what the buffer does for it when you send it in for honing before you try anything else.

Flitz is really good stuff, any of the main polishers with a bit of elbow grease will do the job. After that you'll likely need to move onto varying levels of sandpaper to get any further gains, and then re-polish from there.
