After reading Salle3's thread I PMm'ed Joe Chandler and bought one of his razors. Its a F. A. Koch & Co. Crystal Jr. I'll soon be joining the straight razor fraternity, can't wait to get started.

Make sure you get something to maintain the edge with. A pasted paddle strop from Tony Miller would be the perfect solution. Another thing you'll need is a hanging strop (same source). On top of having reasonable prices for great quality, Tony's also very willing to help.
This community loves to help people find there feet so don't be shy about any questions you have. I might recoment you practice your stropping before your razor arrives so you don't knock the edge off as soon as it gets there. If yopu don't have a strop yet, use a belt and play make believe with a butter knife. Remember to go gently up and back flat on the 'strop' and roll over on the spine, NOT the edge at the end of the lap.
